'97 is a song about being sisters and growing up together.

We are sisters - Jennie is 9 years older than Emma (hence the band name Nine Year Sister.)
1997 was the year that Emma was born. We became not only sisters but the best of friends as well – growing up together and later writing and creating original music as a sister duo.
Looking through old photographs of us as kids inspired us to write this song.
'97 is our sister anthem.
